Age: - 21 to 40 years as on 15.10.2011.
Essential Qualifications:-
(a) Good academic record with atleast 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B
in the 7 point scale with letter grades O A,B.C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree
level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree
from a Foreign University.
(b) Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard.
(c) NET/SLET in the relevant subject shall
remain the minimum eligibility condition for
recruitment and appointment as Lecturer in Colleges.
Provided, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D degree in compliance
of the University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of
Ph.D degree), Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the
minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment of
Lecturer/Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges:
Provided, further that candidates, who have acquired Ph.D upto 31.05.2009
shall also be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition
of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment to the posts of Lecturers or equivalent
positions in Colleges:
Provided further that those candidates who have been enrolled for Ph.D.
degree upto 31.05.2009 shall become eligible for exemption from the requirement of
the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment to
the posts of Lecturers or equivalent position in Colleges only on acquisition of Ph.D
degree.
Provided, further that NET/SLET shall not be required for Such
Master’s programmes in disciplines for which there is no NET/SLET.
Note: I
a) Relaxation of 5% is granted from 55% to 50% of marks at Master’s degree level in
the relevant subject for SC /ST candidates of Haryana.
b) Relaxation of 5% is granted from 55% to 50% of marks to the Ph.D degree holders
who have passed their Master’s degree in relevant subject prior to 19th Sept. 1991.
c) Relaxation of 5% is granted from 55% to 50% of marks at Master’s degree level in
relevant subject to the Physically and visually Handicapped persons.
d) Relaxation of 5% is granted from 55% to 50% of marks at Master’s degree level in
relevant subject to the candidates who pass their Matric examination from rural
schools of Haryana. For this purpose school which fall under the jurisdiction of
Village Panchayats of Haryana shall be classified as rural schools.
Note: II Criteria for determining good academic record:-
a). For determining good academic record a candidate should either have average of
55% marks in two of the three examinations (not below Matric or equivalent) prior
to Master’s degree or 50% marks in each of these two examinations separately.
b). For determining good academic record, if total number of marks in two
examinations are different, then the average of percentages is to be calculated by
dividing the marks obtained in two examinations by total number of marks in those
two examinations.
Relaxation: - The following relaxation will however operate:-
(i). Candidates having 55% or above marks in M.A. or M.Sc in relevant subject and
possessing Ph.D degree in relevant subject the criterion of good academic record will
not apply at all.
(ii). Candidates having 55% or above marks in M.A. or M.Sc in relevant subject and
possessing M.Phil degree in relevant subject should have 50% marks in one of the
lower examinations i.e. B.A, Prep or Plus 2, Matric.
(iii). Candidates obtaining first class first in the University in the relevant subject in M.A
or M.Sc. should have 50% marks in one of the lower examinations i.e. B.A, Prep or
Plus 2, Matric.
ote-III Criteria for determining good academic record in case of reserve categories is as
under :-
Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks in determining
good academic record for Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes and Physically
Handicapped category candidates.
1 The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the
same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where the number of applications
received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the
Commission to interview all the candidates, the Commission may restrict the number of
candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience
higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement or by holding a screening test or any
method devised by the Commission.
For application forms and detailed information write to the Secretary, Haryana
Public Service Commission, Bays No. 1-10, Block-B, Sector-4, Panchkula by remitting
Rs. 500/- for General Category including Dependent son of ESM of Haryana candidates and
Rs. 125/- for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Backward Classes/
Ex-Servicemen/Physically Handicapped persons of Haryana and women candidates of all
categories of Haryana only through Indian Postal Orders/Bank Drafts (from any branch of
Scheduled Bank of India) payable to the Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission at
Panchkula with self addressed (with Pin Code) envelope of 24x11 cm. size duly stamped with
Rs. 50/- for registered post upto 20.11.2011 only otherwise thereafter application form will not
be sent or on cash payment at the counter from 10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M and 2.00 P.M. to
4.00 P.M. on all working days till closing date. The candidates must write their names, address
in block letters, name of the post for which application form is required and category of form i.e.
General or Reserved (SC/BC/ESM/PH of Haryana only & women candidate of all categories of
Haryana) because there will be two sets of application forms one for general category including
Dependent of ESM of Haryana and another for reserved category and no application form will
be supplied to those candidates who do not remit the full prescribed cost of application form and
envelope as stated above. No. extra fee, other than the cost of application form as stated above,
will be required to be deposited along with the application form.
General clarifications:-
Note:- I
(i) Relaxation in upper age limit upto 45 years is available to SC, BC candidates of
Haryana as per existing instructions of Govt. wherever post/s is/are reserved for
them
(ii). Relaxation upto 45 years in upper age limit is also available to unmarried
women candidates of Haryana and deserted women of Haryana.
(iii). Relaxation in upper age limit is also available to Ex.-Serviceman of Haryana as
per Government instructions.
Note:- II
If suitable ESM category candidates are not available only then dependent
sons/daughters of ESM will be considered against the posts reserved for ESM.
2. Indian Postal Orders or Treasury Challan or Bank Draft issued after or on the date of
publication of this advertisement and till the closing date and payable to Secretary,
HPSC, Panchkula will only be accepted by the Commission.
3. Incomplete Application Form i.e. without proof of age and the minimum required
qualifications will be straightway rejected without entering into any correspondence.
4. The eligibility of candidates with regard to qualifications and experience will be
determined on the closing date for receipt of application Forms.
5. Haryana Public Service Commission will not be responsible for any delay on the part of
Post Department or Courier Agency and all the applications received after the closing
date will be rejected outright.
6. Incomplete Application Forms or unsigned Application Forms shall render the candidate
ineligible.
7. In order to be eligible for applying for these posts, a candidate should be:-
